God's Garden

God looked around his garden,
And he found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw her tired face.

He knew that she was suffering,
He knew she was in pain,
He also knew in heaven,
that she would never hurt again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed her weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine.

He put his arm around her,
And lifted her to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

It broke our hearts to lose her,
But she didn't go alone
For part of us went with her...
The day God called her home.

If tears could build a stairway,
and memories were a lane,
We would walk right up to heaven
to bring you home again.

No farewell words were spoken
no time to say goodbye
you were gone before we knew it,
and only God knows why.

Our heart still aches in sadness
and secret tears still flow,
what it meant to lose you,
no one will ever know.

It's funny how time can play tricks on you. It seems just like yesterday that we were going on our cyber trip in the cloud mobile and we had stopped to pick up Becky and her four furfaces. We had a lot of fun playing these silly trips in our imaginary world, and Becky really was having fun too.
If memory serves me correctly, Becky had hurt her leg and was in a cast, but she fell again and had to have it operated on, so she had to leave the trip.
We heard from her after that for a while and then nothing.
One of the girls got an e-mail from Becky's daughter telling her that Becky had passed away. There had been a fire in her house and Becky being in the cast couldn't move well. Her only concern was for her ferrets and she lost her life trying to save them. She was found with her 4 furfaces in her arms.

When I saw this poem, I knew it was for Becky. She didn't go alone, for she had her four little ferret angels with her and she did take a part of our hearts with her.
So Becky, if you can read this, we still miss you. Please watch over our fuzzies until it is time for us to take that trip across the Rain Bow Bridge. God bless you and keep you until we meet again.

Your ferret friends.
